So today is a double dipper... Valentine's day (commercial for America), and Chinese New Year (traditional for Asians). I am Korean and really have never understood the whole Chinese New Year thing, but I don't disregard, disrespect, or ignore it either. There are some things about it that I hear that I am actually entertained by. Based on my children's signs and my own... here are some analogies, scientific facts, and or theories... take it however you'd like:
Me - Sheep, Goat, Ram... seems to be many different interpretations of the animal itself
Husband - Rabbit
Eldest Son - Dragon
Eldest Daughter - Dog
Younger Son - Ox
Youngest Daughter - GOLDEN PIG, yes... happens every 600 years I guess... ???
Ex-husband - DOG
Brother - Monkey
Mom & Dad - HORSES
Okay, so according to compatibility, my good partners are Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Monkey... but the best being a Pig. My bad partners are Rat, Ox, Sheep, Rooster, Dog, and least of all the Tiger... So, I guess as long as I stay happy with my rabbit husband now and never trade him in for a tiger, I'm good.
I've surfed some different websites to get some more info and I have to agree with the fact that my sign's character is to work hard to get what I need and I will always be fortunate that way as I am talented, but that I am pessimistic, shy, and quiet? HAHAHA... NO! And that I am more of an introvert who likes to be alone (well, sometimes, this is true), and that I am an artist (which is sort of true in what I do). And uh, no... I don't like working in the garden. I am overly ambitious... to a fault, and am not overly reliant on my appearance... and that is because I am secure and know that I am a fairly good looking specimen. Oh and last but not least, I am NOT so disorganized that it is bad for business. UGH! But here's an excerpt from a website: http://www.chiff.com
Sheep personality traits
The most creative sign in the Chinese zodiac, those born in the Year of the Sheep (also known as the Year of the Ram or Goat) are often artistic, sensitive, sweet and charming.
Shy by nature, Sheep are not the most practical of people and, although well-mannered, they occasionally may suffer from "foot-in-mouth disease" by saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. Still, with their considerable charm and innocence Sheep never lack for protective friends and admirers.
Outwardly dreamy and starry-eyed, Sheep are inwardly anxious, insecure, and usually find day-to-day living difficult and puzzling. As such, they often take refuge in religion, astrology or the occult.
Sheep are not overly ambitious, but once they find work that makes use of their considerable talents, they are passionate about what they do. Typically surrounded by beautiful things, Sheep have an ardent love of creature comforts and are almost always elegantly dressed, but can become overly reliant on appearances.
Conversely, Sheep people have an innate love of nature and are never happier than when messing about in the garden.
In business Sheep tend to be highly disorganized, but they usually enjoy great success as artists, actors, designers, and in many other creative endeavors.
Sheep are most compatible with : Rabbit, Pig, Horse
Famous people born in the Year of the Sheep: Jane Austen, Boris Becker,
Jamie Foxx, Mel Gibson, King George VI, Franz Liszt, Michelangelo, Michael Owen, Mark Twain, Rudolph Valentino, Barbara Walters, Bruce Willis, Orville Wright
UGH again!
Love,
Me
